STRATEGI PENERAPAN NILAI AKHLAKUL MAHMUDAH SANTRI DI TAMAN PENDIDIKAN AL-QUR'AN (TPQ) MIFTAHUL HUDA LAMPUNG TIMUR

Abstract

Islamic education plays a crucial role in shaping students’ character from an early age. However, in practice, there remains a gap between understanding moral values and applying them in daily life. This is reflected in students’ behavior that does not fully represent noble character, such as lack of politeness, low environmental awareness, and interpersonal conflicts. These conditions indicate that the implementation of akhlakul mahmudah (noble moral values) has not been fully optimal, thus requiring effective and appropriate strategies for deeper internalization.This study aims to identify the strategies used in implementing akhlakul mahmudah and to examine the values applied at TPQ Miftahul Huda, Batanghari, East Lampung. The research employs a qualitative case study approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.The findings reveal that the implementation strategies include teacher role modeling, habituation in daily activities, advice, and continuous supervision and evaluation. The values emphasized include honesty, patience, cooperation, forgiveness, politeness, and respect for parents and others. These strategies are considered fairly effective in shaping students’ character, although challenges remain, such as environmental influences, limited student awareness, and lack of supervision outside the TPQ setting. Therefore, strong collaboration among teachers, parents, and the community is essential to ensure sustainable and effective moral development.
