Abstract

SMP Ma'arif 1 Metro is one of the NU-based schools in the North Metro sub-district, Metro City. Learning at SMP Ma'arif 1 Metro already uses the revised edition of the K-13 curriculum. In the curriculum there is character education that must be applied to students in relation to the material studied. So that, all school members must participate in optimizing the implementation of student character education at school. Habituation has been carried out at Ma'arif Metro Middle School but there are still moral problems such as students skipping class, chatting during class, students lacking discipline in rules, neglecting school assignments, fighting teachers, lack of interest in studying and so on. This study aims to find out how instilling moral values through the practice of Dhuha prayer among Ma'arif 1 Metro Middle School students. This research is a type of field research with a qualitative approach. Data collection methods used are interview, observation and documentation. The results of research at Instilling moral values through the habit of Duha prayers at SMP Ma'arif 1 Metro is carried out through several stages, namely creating a program for planning Duha prayers in congregation, implementing the Duha prayer program in congregation can foster an attitude of discipline, responsibility and hard work.
