Abstract

The garbage problem is a problemurgent which must be immediately sought for concrete solutions. Waste banks are an alternative solution to piles of waste, because this concept has a positive impact on the environment and society. This concept is present as a form of circular economy that provides benefits for the community who collect and distribute waste in waste management. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with managers and customers, and documentation studies. The research findings reveal that the marketing strategy of Mitra Sejahtera waste bank includes three main approaches: (1) a community approach through community leaders, (2) a waste management education program, and (3) a digital campaign via social media. From an Islamic economic perspective, this marketing practice fulfills sharia principles such as sincerity (fast), justice ('adl), and the achievement of benefits (problem), reflected in the transparency of the waste weighing system and a focus on community empowerment. Obstacles faced include the community's low perception of the economic value of waste and limited supporting facilities. This study concludes that the Mitra Sejahtera waste bank marketing model is not only effective in building community participation but also represents an ethical Islamic business practice. These findings provide an important contribution to the development of a sustainable, sharia-based green economy concept
