Abstract

The parents, who are considered as the closest persons to the children’s life allow them to understand their children’s characteristics much better than other parties. The intimacy of the parents and children relationship also allows the parents to have much better perspectives in supporting their children learning process. This review highlights the importance of parents’ role in supporting their children learning success. This method used libraty research.  Based on further analysis, it is found that there are two aspects belong to the children, namely motivation and the parents’ role. Secondly, in terms of pedagogy, there are also two aspects identified, namely the complexities of learning process and the children’s differences. Lastly, in terms of boarding school characteristics, there are some aspects, which should be taken into account, namely the control and access toward the students’ activities and their privacies, the attempt to delegate the duties to senior students, the lack of information and access given to the students’ parents regarding the applied learning process.  The parents should consider more wisely before deciding to send their children to the boarding school in order to prevent learning incompatibility as a result of the students’ differences and the adopted learning policy in their new learning environment. Alternatively, it is possible that the education stakeholders use the above findings as the factors to be taken into account.
