Pemikiran Agus Hermanto Tentang Pembaruan Hukum Keluarga Islam di Indonesia Dalam Nalar Al-Narajil

The reform of Islamic family law in Indonesia is an ongoing issue that evolves in line with the social, cultural, and economic changes of Muslim society. As the country with the largest Muslim population in the world, Indonesia faces challenges in balancing between sharia norms and the demands of the modern era. Based on this issue, the thoughts of Agus Hermanto are important to explore further to understand how the Al-Narajil reasoning method can offer solutions in the reform of Islamic family law in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to offer a contemporary method of ijtihad proposed by Agus Hermanto using the Al-Narajil reasoning. This research is a type of library research, by tracing the thoughts of Agus Hermanto in developing Al-Narajil reasoning as a method for contemporary Islamic legal reform. Through this approach, it is hoped that Islamic law can become more flexible and contextual without abandoning the fundamental principles of sharia. In this context, Agus Hermanto’s thoughts provide a significant contribution by offering a new approach to the reform of Islamic family law. As an academic and expert in Islamic law, Agus Hermanto developed a reasoning method known as Al-Narajil Reasoning, which seeks to bridge classical understanding and the needs of contemporary Islamic law.
