This research examines the legal consequences of canceling the iddah period from the perspective of Islamic law and Law Number 16 of 2019. This research is literature research, meaning it was carried out by cataloging and analyzing literature that explains the implications of canceling the iddah period and its laws. To collect data for this research, previously existing theories were studied, analyzed and connected to the topic of the implications of breaking the iddah time and the legal consequences it causes. The results of this research are that there are social violations during the iddah period, especially against women who are divorced or whose husbands have died. These women still fulfill their marital obligations to their new husbands even though they have not completed their iddah period. "The iddah period for a divorced woman, namely three times quru, is the second violation of the iddah period that occurs in society." However, there are still many women in society who remarry men when their iddah time is insufficient. Both Islamic law and sharia. consider this as a violation of the iddah time. Apart from that, there is a big possibility that a woman who is in her iddah period and wants to remarry could have a negative impact on her offspring. This route will also ask whether the child was born from the current husband or previous husband based on the child's status. Lack of resources and their ignorance of Islamic law are the main reasons they marry during the iddah period.
