Application of Interfaith Tolerance Values at Yaa Bunayya Islamic Boarding School Jayapura

The purpose of this research is to find out the reasons for the Yaa Bunayya boarding school in Jayapura city by applying the value of inter-religious tolerance.The author uses a descriptive qualitative method, which means that the phenomenon under study is described in full and in depth. There are three data collection techniques that the author uses, namely: observation by direct observation, structured interviews, namely question and answer sessions that have been conducted with students, ustad and local residents, then documentation takes related documents both photos and documents. Data analysis techniques by condensing or selecting information (selection, focus, presentation of data and conclusions). Abstraction by summarising the core then simplifying. The results showed that the application of the value of tolerance between religious communities had a positive effect. Previously, there were many negative things done by the community, such as getting drunk in the pesantren environment, during the adhan or promise, the children of the dormitory next to the pesantren, which is predominantly non-Muslim, like to throw marbles or stones at the roof of the cottage and some of them. This has never happened again, because the sense of belonging to each other has begun to grow with the application of the value of tolerance between religious communities without any differences.
