Pendidikan Karakter di Sekolah: Pengaruhnya Terhadap Pengembangan Etika Sosial dan Moral Siswa

This study aims to investigate the effect of character education in primary schools on students' social ethics and moral development and identify factors that influence its implementation. A qualitative approach was used in this research with a case study method involving elementary schools in Lampung, Makassar and Aceh. The results showed that character education programs in primary schools can have a significant positive impact on students' social and moral ethics development. Effective implementation involves teacher commitment, parental support and a supportive school environment. However, there are still obstacles such as a lack of training for teachers, lack of parental involvement and excessive academic pressure. This study provides a deep insight into the important role of character education in primary schools in shaping students' social and moral ethics. The implications of this study are the need for increased support for teachers in implementing character education programs, active involvement of parents in character education, and adjustments to a curriculum that is more balanced between academic and character aspects. It is hoped that the results of this study can serve as a foundation for improving character education in Indonesia, creating a young generation that is ethical, responsible, and contributes positively to society.
