Pengaruh Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning Terhadap Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Peserta Didik di Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 31 Padang

Abstract

An - Studying mathematics develops problem solving skills. In practice, these skills are very limited. Therefore, it can be improved with Problem Based Learning. This research aims to determine the effect of implementing the Problem Based Learning learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities in Class VIII of SMP Negeri 31 Padang. This research is a quasi-experiment with a Nonequivalent Posttest Only Control Group model. The population of this study came from Class VIII students of SMP Negeri 31 Padang for the 2023/2024 academic year. The sampling technique is a random sampling technique. The data analysis technique is a quantitative analysis technique with the T-test. The results of this research conclude that the problem based learning model has a significant effect on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. It can be seen that the p value is <0.05. These findings show that the problem based learning model has a positive influence on the problem solving abilities of Class VIII Students at SMP Negeri 31 Padang.
