Telaah Terhadap Kitab Sunan Daruquthni (Penulis, Pandangan Ulama, dan Metode Penyusunan)

The existing collections of hadith books are the works of hadith scholars, each with their distinct methods of compilation and unique characteristics. Some exhibit a particular thematic arrangement, while others are structured alphabetically based on the names of the Prophet's companions. One of the hadith compilations that scholars use as a foundational reference is the book "Sunan Daruquthni." Discussions about the "Sunan Daruquthni" have been relatively scarce. This research aims to delve into the author's biography, the perspectives of scholars regarding the author, and the methodology employed in composing the book. The method utilized for this study is a descriptive-analytical approach to bibliographic research, using primary and secondary data from books, journals, and articles. From this examination, it has been uncovered that Imam Daruquthni is renowned as a hadith scholar with a profound understanding of the critical aspects of hadith. His compilation of "Sunan" is organized using a method that arranges chapters according to jurisprudential topics, while still adhering to the principles of scrutiny and assessment of the authenticity of hadith.
