Gejala Skizofrenia Tokoh Utama dalam Novel A untuk Amanda Karya Annisa Ihsani

This study aims to classify and describe the symptoms and factors that cause schizophrenia. This research was conducted using descriptive analysis method. The data in this study are in the form of words, phrases, sentences, paragraphs, quotes, and dialogs that are related to schizophrenia symptoms and the causes of schizophrenia contained in the novel A For Amanda by Annisa Ihsani. The source of the data in this research is the novel A for Amanda by Annisa Ihsani which will be published by Gramedia Pustaka Utama in 2021. The data collection technique in this study uses reading and note-taking techniques. The data validity technique used is theoretical and data triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the symptoms of schizophrenia are divided into eight, namely (1) delusions, (2) hallucinations, (3) asociality, (4) anchedonia, (5) flat affect, (6) avolition, (7) incoherence, and (8) strange behavior. The symptoms that appear in Amanda's character are caused by psychological factors where Amanda is always depressed by the thought that her intelligence that she has so far is just a lie and luck.
