Manajemen Konflik : Sebuah Analisis Sosiologis dalam Pengembangan Pendidikan Islam

Conflict can be interpreted as a theory which views that social change does not occur through a process of adjusting values ??that bring change, but occurs as a result of conflict which results in compromises that are different from the original conditions. In everyday life, conflict that occurs in society is defined as a normal condition, but it becomes unnatural if the conflict involves violence. As a social phenomenon, conflict cannot be avoided, but can be managed and managed properly. The conflict in this study is in the scale of objective and structural relations including those in educational institutions. In the context of Islamic educational institutions that carry missions of humanization, liberation and transcendence, conflict management can encourage organizational progress in a better direction. Conversely, if the conflict is not managed properly, it will be the cause of the destruction of the educational institution itself. Therefore, a manager of an Islamic educational institution needs to know the stages of conflict in order to be able to resolve conflicts earlier. The basic cause of conflict is due to differences, both in terms of ways of thinking, differences in views and those related to power relations. If these differences are allowed to run wild, it will destroy an educational institution and even human civilization. It's different if these differences are managed properly, they will become a wealth of thinking treasures that can give birth to big ideas in advancing educational institutions. Differences also become diversity that can create harmonization in organizational life. The difference mindset is no longer considered as a divider but as a way to change for the better, this is what is known as conflict management.
