Peningkatan Life Skill Santri Melalui Pemberdayaan Pondok Pesantren Raudlatul Ulum

Pondok Pesantren Raudlatul Ulum is an educational institution that empowers its students in the field of life skills. Since its inception until now, many independent students have graduated through life skills taught during their education. The purpose of this research is to analyze the empowerment process and the implementation of the santri empowerment program through activities to improve life skills. The research method used in this study is to use qualitative research. This research approach uses a phenomenological approach that observes life skill improvement activities at the Raudlatul Ulum Islamic boarding school. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the empowerment process implemented by the Raudlatul Ulum North Lampung Islamic Boarding School for the development of life skills of students focuses on aspects of academic skills and vocational skills. (2) The implementation of the empowerment process carried out by the Raudlatul Ulum Islamic Boarding School for the development of the life skills of the santri is carried out in a significant and sustainable manner through routine practice and produces independence for the santri. Thus, this study describes a process of empowering students’ life skills which is carried out in both academic and vocational aspects by paying attention to the empowerment stage so that independence emerges which is the ultimate goal of the empowerment process.
