Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to describe the process and results of academic supervision carried out by school principals for teachers. The method used in writing this article is literature study. Supervision is one of the determining factors for the success of educational institutions, as long as the academic supervision process is carried out properly, through steps that are in accordance with the supervision theory used. On the other hand, if supervision experiences obstacles or interruptions in one of the supervision process links, then the supervision process and results will not be optimal. The result is that schools have carried out good supervision according to procedures, as evidenced by the good value of the quality of education, but there are also those who carry out supervision not optimally, so the quality report card scores are still low and need improvement
