Abstract

Family education was the most important principle in instilling the basics of commendable morals. The habits taught by parents would stick with the child until adulthood. Hence, the child would be able to adapt to his social environment. However, it did not happen to broken home children, because they do not get the full education due to family conditions that are not harmonious. There were problems that occur in broken home children which include violations of school, dishonorable behavior, etc. This article aims to describe the efforts of teachers Islamic Education in fostering the morals of broken home students. It was qualitative field research. The secondary data sources were important data related to the variables studied, for instance journals, e-books and other important documents. To obtain comprehensive data, researchers collected data by observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. An analysis used data reduction, presenting data and interesting. The result show that the efforts of PAI teachers in fostering the morals of broken home students had been fully implemented. The guidance that has been carried out by PAI teachers is the cultivation of Islamic educational values in the form of inculcating faith, worship and morals. In addition, the teacher also conducts coaching in several ways including: Personal approach, Collaborate with the counseling teacher to conduct counseling and home visits, Instill motivation into students.
