Urgensi Akreditasi Sekolah dalam Upaya Pemetaan Mutu Pendidikan di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur
Education is the belle of national development to foster a strong national character and is based on Indonesian values or culture. School productivity is very important and something that is non-negotiable. The characteristics of a productive school can be seen from the form and nature of the school organization which can provide opportunities in the form of increasing the number and quality of abilities possessed by students after participating in learning. School accreditation is an activity for assessing the eligibility of a school based on predetermined criteria and carried out by the National Accreditation Board for Schools/Madrasahs (BAN-S/M), the results of which are manifested in the form of recognition of eligibility ratings. This activity aims to obtain an overview of school performance that can be used as a tool for fostering, developing and improving the quality of education. also to determine the feasibility level of a school in the provision of education. In implementing school accreditation, it is an effort by the government to guarantee the quality of education and improve school performance, especially in providing educational services to the community. School Accreditation aims to provide information on the eligibility of the school or program it implements based on the National Education Standards, provide recognition for eligibility ratings, and provide recommendations regarding education quality assurance to programs and or educational units that are accredited. In terms of quality, education in NTT is still in the 29th position out of 34 provinces. This illustrates that mapping in the accreditation system is important in recording the number of schools spread across the beloved Flobamorata region based on Graduate Quality, Learning Process, Teacher Quality and School Management. In order to evaluate school performance so that it can be useful to improve the quality of education in NTT.
