Pengaruh Strategi Pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Terhadap Hasil Belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS)

The article aimed to know effect of using Contextual Teaching And Learning learning strategy on social studies learning outcomes for grade VII students at SMP Negeri 4 Pematangsiantar. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 4 Pematangsiantar with 68 students as participants. The students at control class (claas VII-7) was 34 students and students at experimental class (class VII-8) was 34 students. The collection of data about student learning outcomes in social studies subjects was obtained from the social studies learning outcomes test compiled by the researcher. Where before being given the social studies learning outcomes test, the researchers conducted direct teaching to class VII-7 (control class) and class VII-8 (experimental class). In testing the hypothesis, the statistical test "t" test was used. The result showed that bigger than on the level = 0,05 with dk = ( 34 + 34 – 2 ) that is 6,0 > 1,66 ). Thus, His rejected dan is accepted. In other words, after the experiment was carried out there was a real effect using the Contextual Teaching and Learning on learning outcomes in social studies subjects for class VII students at SMP Negeri 4 Pematangsianta.
