Abstract

The presence of the Manajer Perawatan Pasien (MPP) plays an important role as part of the implementation of Patient Centered Care (PCC), one of which is increasing the involvement and empowerment of patients and families in patient care, so as to produce the expected care outcomes. In the care of patients treated in the isolation room, Manajer Perawatan Pasien (MPP)  acts as a facilitator for families with the hospital, so that even though the family is not beside the patient, the entire design of patient service activities is known by the family. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of therapeutic communication management carried out by the Manajer Perawatan Pasien (MPP)  to the families of patients treated in the Pinere isolation room at Al-Islam Hospital Bandung in 4 (four) stages, namely the pre-interaction or preparation phase, orientation or orientation. introduction, work phase and termination. The method used descriptive qualitative method. Data was collected by using observation techniques and focus discussion groups (FGD) with 4 Manajer Perawatan Pasien (MPP). The data analysis technique was carried out descriptively. The results showed that 4 Patient Service Managers (MPP) who served in the isolation room at Al Islam Hospital Bandung had carried out the four stages of therapeutic communication, namely pre-interaction or preparation, orientation or introduction, work stage and termination. The results of the study also showed that families had a positive response to the presence of Manajer Perawatan Pasien (MPP) as a facilitator for the families of patients being treated in the COVID-19 isolation room.
