The Concept of Human Resource Management in Islamic Educational Institutions: Integration of Religious Values and Professionalism

Islamic educational institutions possess unique characteristics that distinguish them from general educational institutions, particularly in the aspect of transcendental values. This study aims to explore the concept of Human Resource Management in Islamic educational institutions, integrating modern management principles with the values of the Qur'an and Hadith. The research method used is library research. The results of the discussion indicate that Human Resource Management in Islamic educational institutions encompasses planning, recruitment, development, and evaluation, oriented not only toward worldly competence but also toward moral integrity (akhlak) and devotion (lillah), thereby strengthening the sustainability of Islamic educational institutions. This study implies that educators and institutional leaders should view HRM as a value-laden educational endeavor rather than a mere administrative task, because the moral and spiritual quality of human resources directly shapes institutional sustainability. Accordingly, the study contributes a conceptual foundation for value-based HRM in Islamic education and offers practical guidance for educators, policymakers, and future researchers.
